LASC: SUPERIOR COURT OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO THE CIVIL COURT RESERVATION SYSTEM

Effective Friday, March 21, 2025, the Superior Court of Los Angeles County’s Civil Division will require all court users to complete a one-time registration process for the Court Reservation System (CRS) utilized for reserving motion dates. The Court is implementing this new step to enhance user verification and prevent unauthorized reservations through CRS.

Key Points of the New Process for CRS One-Time Registration:

  • Mandatory User Registration: All individuals seeking to reserve motion dates must now register with CRS. Court users are encouraged to complete their registration as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted access to CRS.
  • Identity Verification: Once registrants have created a username and password, registration requires users to provide identity verification information, including selecting the appropriate user type (attorney service firm, law firm, or self-represented). This step is designed to ensure that only authorized individuals can access and utilize CRS.
  • Detailed instructions on the registration process are available here on the CRS website.

CRS is mandatory in many civil departments throughout Los Angeles County. Parties with a case assigned to a department using CRS are directed to utilize CRS to make and manage their reservations within parameters set by the Department rather than calling or emailing them to make a reservation.

Parties with cases assigned to other departments or with a non-CRS reservation mandate should continue to follow the existing procedures of their respective department. If you cannot utilize CRS or if you have questions about scheduling and/or motions, please visit the courtroom information page for the department where your case is assigned for more information before calling the department directly.
