Kings County Superior Court: New Mandatory Electronic Filing System Effective April 17, 2023

Court Notice

KINGS COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT: NEW MANDATORY ELECTRONIC FILING SYSTEM EFFECTIVE APRIL 17, 2023

Effective April 17, 2023, the Court’s electronic filing service will change from “Odyssey E-file California” to “Journal Technologies”.

Electronic filing will continue to be mandatory for all civil case types: Unlimited, Limited, Small Claims, Probate and Guardianships, Family Law, Family Support, Adoption, and Mental Health. Exceptions will apply. Self-Represented parties are exempt from the mandatory electronic filing requirement pursuant to California Rules of Court section 2.253(b)(2).

Due to the change of electronic filing service, the Court will not accept E-filed documents from April 12-16, 2023. Documents that are E-filed April 12- 16, 2023, will be rejected. The Court will, however, accept paper filings in person or via the drop box during this time.
