LASC: SUPERIOR COURT OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY PUBLISHES 2023-2024 BIENNIAL REPORT
The Superior Court of Los Angeles County published its 2023-2024 Biennial Report today, highlighting various court initiatives and programs launched during the last two years under the leadership of Presiding Judge Samantha P. Jessner, Presiding Judge-Elect Sergio C. Tapia II and Executive Officer/Clerk of Court David W. Slayton.
“We are proud to present the Court’s 2023-2024 Biennial Report, which captures through video, photographs and written content our Court’s collective efforts to meet court users where they are and ultimately fulfill our mission to provide equal access to justice for the 10 million residents of Los Angeles County through the fair, timely and efficient resolution of all cases,” Presiding Judge Jessner said. “This report showcases the wide-ranging accomplishments of judicial officers and court staff over the past two years and exemplifies our Court’s commitment, as the largest trial court in the nation, to stand as a beacon of ingenuity and innovation for trial courts across the country.”
Four core values serve as the framework of the Report: transformative innovation, data-informed decision-making, collaboration, and embracing a people-centric approach to the way the Court operates. The Report details the Court’s efforts to efficiently serve court users, launch major technological upgrades, leverage data to make decisions, expand diversity, engage collaboratively with justice partners and elected officials, celebrate its staff and look ahead to the future.
