LASC: UPDATED REMOTE HEARINGS PLATFORM TO EXPAND TO ADDITIONAL PROBATE COURTROOMS BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 6

New Simplified Platform with Same Day Check-In and ‘My Checked-in Hearings’ Features Expands to All Stanley Mosk Courthouse Probate Departments and Governor George Deukmejian Courthouse Probate Department S09

Beginning Friday, September 6, the Court will expand the enhanced LACourtConnect (LACC) 3.0 remote hearings platform to all Stanley Mosk Courthouse Probate departments and Governor George Deukmejian (Long Beach) Courthouse Probate Department S09 for attorneys and litigants wishing to appear in hearings remotely. This platform provides enhanced functionality for attorneys and litigants along with a simplified interface.

In addition to previously announced features associated with LACC 3.0, which include same-day check-in for scheduled hearings, this latest iteration of the Court’s remote hearings platform will also include a new My Checked-in Hearings feature. This new feature, which will become available on September 6 for participating departments, will enable users to check-in to multiple hearings at the same time and view all checked-in hearings in one place.

On and after September 6, litigants and attorneys wishing to appear remotely in Stanley Mosk Courthouse probate courtrooms and Long Beach Department S09 can visit LACC’s existing registration page, which will redirect court users registering to appear remotely in the expanded list of probate courtrooms for hearings scheduled on or after September 6 to the new LACC 3.0 platform.

Additional information about LACC 3.0, including an updated reference guide, video tutorial and a technical specifications document are available now for court users. LACC 2.0, which continues to require advanced registration, will remain in use at the Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse Probate Department A14 in addition to all Civil (including Small Claims and Unlawful Detainer), Family Law and Traffic Departments in the short term. We look forward to further expansion of LACC 3.0 in the next several months.

LACC promotes convenience and choice with audio and video remote appearance options, eliminating driving, parking and childcare costs, and saving commute time to courthouses. LACC 3.0 will be available on Windows PC, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices that support Microsoft Teams.
