Court Notice

ORANGE COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT: MANDATORY ELECTRONIC FILING EXPANDING TO PROBATE GUARDIANSHIPS, CONSERVATORSHIP CASES

Effective September 1, 2024, Domestic Violence Ex Parte Applications must be filed by 1:30 p.m. to be ruled on by the court on the same day. Domestic Violence Ex Parte Applications filed after 1:30 p.m. will be ruled upon the next court day. The current 3:00 p.m. deadline has proven to be too late in the day to permit effective review given the high volume of afternoon filings. An Invitation to Comment on the proposed amendment to Local Rule 704 to effect this change was published on June 17, 2024. The Invitation to Comment period runs through Thursday, August 1, 2024.
