LASC: ELECTRONIC CERTIFICATION OF PROBATE LETTERS AVAILABLE MAY 1

Effective Wednesday, May 1, individuals will have the ability to electronically certify Probate Letters issued for decedent, guardianship and conservatorship matters. Court users seeking electronic certification of Probate Letters should electronically submit their letters through the electronic filing (efiling) system via an Electronic Filing Service Provider (EFSP), where the user can select the option for electronic certification and pay the associated $40 certification fee. Electronically certified letters will be emailed to the party upon issuance.

Those who do not opt to electronically certify Probate Letters, including self-represented parties, may continue to have letters certified in person at either of the following locations:

Probate Records Office – Stanley Mosk Courthouse 111 N. Hill St., Room 112 Los Angeles, CA 90012 – OR

Probate Records Office – Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse 42011 4th St. West, Room 1048 Lancaster, CA 95353

Certified copies of Probate Letters may be obtained only in person at the locations noted above.
