LASC: CIVIL AND FAMILY LAW JUDICIAL ASSIGNMENT CHANGES AT THE CHATSWORTH COURTHOUSE

The Civil and Family Law Division will implement the following changes to courtroom operations at the Chatsworth Courthouse, located at 9425 Penfield Ave, Chatsworth:

• Effective February 13:
  • Judge Brock Hammond and Judge Michael O’Gara will be reassigned from Department F43 to Department F41. All Limited Civil Collections matters previously assigned to Department F43 will remain assigned to Judge Hammond and Judge O’Gara in Department F41 for all purposes, unless otherwise notified.
• Effective February 20:
  • Commissioner Kendra Thomas will be assigned to Department F58, a family law department.All matters previously assigned to Department F58 will be assigned to Commissioner Thomas for all purposes, unless otherwise notified.

All matters currently on calendar shall remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set, unless otherwise notified. Counsel and parties are instructed to indicate the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all documents filed with the clerk to ensure proper departmental assignment, calendaring of hearings, and document routing.
