NEW FAMILY LAW COURTROOM AT THE TORRANCE COURTHOUSE
The Family Law Division will implement the following changes to courtroom operations, effective August 16, 2023:
- Judge Tony Cho will be assigned to a newly opened family law courtroom, Department P, at the Torrance Courthouse, 825 Maple Avenue, Torrance. One-third of open matters currently assigned to Departments 11 and J at the Torrance Courthouse will be randomly reassigned to Judge Cho for all purposes. Impacted litigants will receive notice of case reassignment in the mail.
All matters currently calendared shall remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set unless otherwise notified. Counsel and parties are instructed to identify the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all documents filed with the clerk to ensure proper departmental assignment, calendaring of hearings, and document routing.
