LASC: DELAY IN IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW LACOURTCONNECT FEATURES

Court Notice

DELAY IN IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW LACOURTCONNECT FEATURES

LACourtConnect Remains Available for Remote Appearances

LACourtConnect (LACC) enhancements scheduled to take effect gradually, starting this week in Probate, will be postponed. However, LACC remains available for litigants and attorneys to continue to appear remotely.

The Court launched LACC nearly three years ago and continues to offer improvements to this popular option to appear remotely in Los Angeles County courtrooms. In 2022, the Court held over 900,000 remote proceedings via LACC and 1.3 million remote proceedings courtside.

The Court has been working to deliver an improved user experience for attorneys, litigants, judicial officers, and court staff based on feedback from those users. The delay announced today is necessary so that the Court can include and refine additional enhanced features to ensure those upgrades deliver a more improved user experience. All previously announced implementation dates for the LACC changes are paused until further notice. All attorney sandbox training sessions on the enhanced features are canceled.

The registration window to appear remotely through LACC in probate, civil (including small claims and unlawful detainer cases), family law and traffic matters will remain 14 days in advance of the hearing.
